Providence College Junior Emily Sisson Named BIG EAST Track Athlete Of

The Week



After her performance over the weekend, Sisson ranks fifth nationally.



Providence, R.I.- Junior Emily Sisson (Chesterfield, Mo.) of the Providence College outdoor track and field team was named BIG EAST Women’s Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, April 23.



Sisson and the Friars competed at the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif. on Friday, April 19. Sisson led the Friars with an eighth place finish in the Invite Elite Division with a time of 15:39.80. With her time, Sisson now ranks second in the NCAA East Regional Rankings and fifth nationally.



Sisson and the Friars are back in action Thursday, April 25 to Saturday, April 27 when they compete in the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa.
