Providence Women’s Cross Country Ranked Eighth In The Nation
The women finished 13th in the nation during the 2014 cross country season.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The U.S. Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the first national rankings of the season today (Sept. 1). The Providence College women’s cross country team received an eighth-place ranking heading into the first weekend of racing.

The women return their top seven from last season, as well as the addition of All-American Sarah Collins. Last year, the women finished 13th in the nation. They also secured a second-place finish at both the NCAA Northeast Regional and BIG EAST Championship.

The Friars open the season this Saturday (Sept. 5) at the UNH Dual Meet in Durham, N.H. The women are set for a 10:45 a.m. start.
