The event was held at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=NoParagraphStyle style='text-align:justify'><span style='font-size:10.0pt;line-height:120%'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=NoParagraphStyle style='text-align:justify'><span style='font-size:10.0pt;line-height:120%'>The Providence women’s team finished ninth of 31 teams (343 points), while the men’s team placed 22nd of 31 teams (510 points). Sophomore Shelby Greany (Suffern, N.Y.) paced the Friars women’s team with a 12th-place finish and earned All-America honors in cross country for the first time in her career. Greany crossed the finish line of the 6K course in 20:27.2. A year ago, Greany captured All-America recognition during the outdoor track season with a sixth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Villanova’s Sheila Reid won the individual title with a time of 20:06.9.
