placing fourth and fifth, respectively, at the Northeast Regionals in Amherst, N.Y.</font></p>

<p style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoNormal"><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>The 30<sup>th</sup>-ranked Friar men were led by a second-place overall effort from senior David McCarthy (

<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Waterford</st1:City>, <st1:country-region w:st="on">
Ireland</st1:country-region></st1:place>), while the fifth-ranked PC women placed three in the field’s top 12.

<p style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoNormal"><font size="3" face="Times New Roman">Decisions about at-large bids will be announced Sunday night. The NCAA Championships will be run on Monday, November 21, in
<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Terre Haute</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">
Indiana</st1:State></st1:place>. </font></p>

<p style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoNormal"><font size="3" face="Times New Roman">McCarthy continued his strong campaign by completing the 10-kilometer endeavor in 31:13.1, second only to the overall winner.
<st1:place w:st="on">Iona</st1:place>’s Leonard Korir crossed just 2.7 seconds ahead at 31:10.4. It is the second time McCarthy has placed second at the Northeast Regionals, having accomplished the feat in the fall of 2008.

and Eric Malnati in 42<sup>nd</sup> with a 32:33.5 </font></p>

<st1:country-region w:st="on">Ireland</st1:country-region></st1:place>) led the way with the best regional performance of her career. The steady senior placed seventh out of a field of 243 harriers. Her time in the 6K was 20:57.2, just 31.9 seconds behind the
overall winner, <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Dartmouth</st1:place></st1:City>’s Abby D’Agostino (20:25.3).
