<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: left;"><b>PROVIDENCE, R.I. - </b>The Providence College men's cross country team will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. on Friday, September 28 to compete in the famed Paul Short Invitational hosted by LeHigh University.
The men’s 8K is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m.</p>

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: left;">Last year at Paul Short the men placed sixth overall in a field of 45 teams.</p>

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: left;">At their last meet, the Friar men took second, finishing with 47 points. No. 1 Wisconsin took first. Sophomore Shane Quinn (Waterford, Ireland) led the way with a first-place individual finish ahead of a pack
of five Badgers who led Wisconsin to finish with 20 points. Ten Friars will be competing this week, including Quinn.</p>

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: left;">Two top-10 finishers from Stony Brook,
<span style="background:white">senior</span> Ahmed Ali <span style="background:

(Boston, Mass.) and</span> sophomore Liam Hillery <span style="background:white">(Smithfield, R.I.) will be among the Friars competing at the event. Ali and Hillery placed ninth and tenth, respectively at Stony Brook. Freshman Christian Costello (Ridgewood,
N.J.) and </span>sophomore Benjamin Connor (Derby, England) rounded out the top-five for the Friars on that day, and will join Quinn, Ali and Hillery at the starting gates on Friday.<span style="background:white"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

to lead the team with another strong performance after his last race at Penn State. Princeton also competed at the Spiked Shoe Race at Penn State, taking the top spot over Georgetown. The Tigers had four of the top-five finishers and were led by

Arial;color:#111111;background:white"> </span></span><span style="background:white">(Suffern,
N.Y.) and </span>Sam Roecker (Charlton, N.Y.)<span style="background:white">, and
</span>juniors Laura Nagel (Napier, New Zealand) and Grace Thek (Melbourne, Australia) were among the top runners for the Friars last year, and hope to earn another victory.</p>

Four freshman harriers will be taking to the course, including Sarah Mary Collins<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>(Basel,
Switzerland), who finished in the top-three with Greany and Nagel at the Wolfie Invitational. The other Friar freshmen competing will be Katie Sischo (Jamesville, N.Y.), Molly Keating (Rehoboth, Mass.) and Lauren Mullins (Binghamton, N.Y.)</span></p>
