<p dir="ltr" align="justify">PROVIDENCE, R.I.</b> - The Providence College women’s cross country team will look to compete at the Boston College Invitational at Franklin Park, Mass. on Friday, Sept. 27. The 5k<a></a> race will be have a start time of 3:30 p.m.

<p dir="ltr" align="justify">Last time out, the Friars earned a win over Columbia, Marist and Stony Brook at the Stony Brook Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 14 for their second consecutive first place finish with a top-three sweep.</p>

<p dir="ltr" align="justify">The Friars will face a strong field of competitors, including the 2012 Division I NCAA Cross Country Champions, third-ranked Oregon. Providence will also face ninth-ranked Cornell and 24th-ranked Boston College. Joining the tough
competition is Bucknell<a></a>, Hartford, John Hopkins, New Hampshire, Northeastern, Rhode Island, Stony Brook, UMass Amherst, Wisconsin and Yale.

<p dir="ltr" align="justify">Sixteen competitors will represent Providence at the Boston College Invitational. Two freshmen, Bryanna<a></a> Allison (Lowell, Mass.) and Catarina<a></a> Rocha (Peabody, Mass.), will join sophomores Sarah Mary Collins (Basel, Switzerland),
Molly Keating (Rehoboth, Mass.), Lauren Mullins (Binghamton, N.Y.), Kathleen Powell (Wrentham, Mass.), and Katie Sischo<a></a> (Jamesville, N.Y.) for Friday’s race.

(New Rochelle, N.Y.), Erin Murphy (Easton, Mass.), Laura Nagel (Napier, New Zealand), Emily Sisson (Chesterfield, Mo.), and Grace Thek<a></a> (Melbourne, Australia) will also be competing Friday.</p>

<p dir="ltr" align="justify">The meet will kick off the start of the qualifying period for teams to start collecting points for the Division I Cross Country National Championships to be held in Terre Haute, Ind. on Nov. 23.
