<p style="text-align: center;"><b>Nagel posts second fastest collegiate time in the one mile run this season.</b></p>

<p><b>Boston, Mass. - </b>The Providence College women’s track and field team competed at the BU John Thomas Terrier Invitational yesterday (Jan. 24) in Boston, Mass. The Friars saw senior Laura Nagel (Napier, New Zealand) post an ECAC Championship qualifying
time with the second fastest collegiate time this season in the one mile run. </p>

<p>Seniors Emily Sisson (Chesterfield, Mo.) and Jackie McCarthy (New Rochelle, N.Y.) both eclipsed ECAC Championship qualifying times with Nagel in the one mile run. Nagel crossed the finish line fifth with a time of 4:36.89, Sisson followed in seventh (4:40.00)
and McCarthy was 18th (4:55.95). Out of a field of 165 competitors, three of the top-five were professional athletes in the event. </p>

<p>Graduate student Sam Roecker (Charlton, N.Y.) capture third in the 5000 meter run. Roecker finished with a time of 16:42.75, a personal best and an ECAC Championship qualifying time. </p>

<p>Sophomore Molly Keating (Rehoboth, Mass.) put up a fifth-place finish out of a field of 60 in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:57.20. </p>

<p>In the 3000 meter run, seniors Grace Thek (Melbourne, Australia) and Erin Murphy (Easton, Mass) along with sophomore Katie Sischo (Jamesville, N.Y.) all captured ECAC Championship qualifying times. Thek posted a time of 9:46.44 for 15th, Sischo finished
18th in a time of 9:50.07 and Murphy was 21st with a time of 9:54.19. Sischo’s time of 9:50.07 was a personal best in the 3000 meter run. </p>
