<p style="text-align:center"><b>Providence College Women’s Indoor Track Collects Four PR’s At BU Valentine</b></p>
<p style="text-align:center"><b>Sisson led the way with a first-place finish in the 3000 meter run with a nation leading time.</b></p>

<p><b>BOSTON, Mass. - </b>The Providence College women’s indoor track and field team competed at the Boston University Valentine Invitational today (Feb. 7). Providence saw four Friars run personal best performances and a first-place finish in the 3000 meter
run. </p>

</p>
<p>Senior Emily Sisson (Chesterfield, Mo.) ran a personal-best time of 9:00.76 in the 3000 meter run to capture first. Sisson was followed by classmate Laura Nagel (Napier, New Zealand), who claimed second with a personal-best time of 9:01.35. Both runners
posted ECAC Championship qualifying times with the top-two NCAA performances in the 3000 meter event this season. </p>

<p>Senior Jackie McCarthy (New Rochelle, N.Y.) competed in the 800 meter run, where she finished 14th out of a field of 158 competitors. McCarthy posted a personal-best performance with an ECAC Championship qualifying time of 2:10.50. </p>

</p>
<p>In the 1000 meter run, sophomore Molly Keating (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) finished fifth with time of 2:51.86. Keating’s performance was a personal best and ECAC Championship qualifying time. </p>

</p>
<p>Senior Erin Murphy (Easton, Mass.) finished ninth in the 5000 meter run with an ECAC Championship qualifying time of 16:58.14. </p>

<p>The women return to action when the BIG EAST Championships kick-off on Feb. 21 at 11:00 a.m. The meet with take place in New York, N.Y. at the New York City Armory. </p>
