<p style="text-align: center;"><b>Twelve PR’s Captured By Providence College Men’s Indoor Track</b></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><b>The Friars had 12 personal-best performances as well as eight IC4A qualifying times at the BU Valentine Invitational.</b></p>

<p><b>BOSTON, Mass. - </b>The Providence College men’s indoor track and field team competed at the Boston University Valentine Invitational today (Feb. 8). Providence saw 12 Friars run personal-best performances, as well as eight finish with IC4A Championship
qualifying times. </p>

<p>Sophomore Joseph Vercollone (Pembroke, Mass.) captured a personal-record in the men’s 800 meter run with an IC4A Championship qualifying time of 1:52.56. Freshman Austin King (Kempton, Pa.) also posted a personal best performance on the day. Competing in
the 400 meter dash, King finished in a time of 49.75. </p>

<p>Providence’s four competitors in the one mile race all captured personal-records and IC4A Championship times. Sophomore Julian Oakley (Tauranga, New Zealand) finished 13th overall with a time of 4:00.71. Oakley was followed by graduate student Julian Saad
(Trumbull, Conn.), who finished 17th with a time of 4:01.04, while classmate Kevin Cooper (Waterford, Ireland) was 21st in a time of 4:02.44. The final Friar to cross the finish line was sophomore Harvey Dixon (Aldershot, England), who finished 26th in a time
of 4:04.10. </p>

<p>In the 3000 meter run, four Friars posted personal record times, while three ran IC4A Championship qualifying times. Junior Benjamin Connor (Derby, England) finished 12th with a personal record and IC4A qualifying time of 8:12.18. Classmate Liam Hillery
(Smithfield, R.I.) followed Connor with a 20th-place finish in a IC4A qualifying time of 8:16.36. Freshman Trevor Crawly (Cumberland, R.I.) also ran a personal-best in an IC4A qualifying time of 8:26.69. Freshman Jake Feinstein (Sandy Hook, Conn.), 8:36.20,
and junior Luke Perron (West Hartford, Conn.), 8:37.37, each run personal-best performances in the 3000 meter. </p>

<p>Sophomore Christian Costello (Ridgewood, N.J.) and freshman Hugh Armstrong (Balina, County Mayo, Ireland) ran personal-record performances in the 5000 meter event. Costello finished with a time of 14:48.25, while Armstrong finished in a time of 14:49.93. </p>
