<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>The Friars captured two personal-records in the 3000 meter run.

<p><strong>BOSTON, Mass. &#8211;</strong> The Providence College men's indoor track and field team concluded competition Saturday, March 1 at the New England Championships in Boston, Mass. Providence posted two PRs and IC4A Championship qualifying times in the final
 day of competition. </p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>In the 3000 meter run, sophomore Christian Costello (Ridgewood, N.J.) captured a personal-record. Costello finished second overall with an IC4A Championship qualifying time of 8:22.63. Freshman Hugh Armstrong (Balina County Mayo, Ireland) also captured a
 personal-best performance in the 3000 meter run, with a time of 8:27.32, good for sixth-place overall.

<p>Sophomore Joseph Vercollone (Pembroke, Mass.) competed in the in men's 800 meter run, where he finished second with an IC4A Championship qualifying time of 1:52.41.

<p>The Friars finished the meet 14<sup>th</sup> overall (19 points) out of 35 teams.

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Providence continues competition tomorrow, with the Boston University Last Chance meet in Boston, Mass. The Friars will look to post NCAA Championship qualifying times before the end of the season approaches.
