<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Providence College Women's Track Claims Three PRs At ECAC Championships

<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>The Friars saw Jackie McCarthy capture second in the 1000 meter final.

<p><strong>BOSTON, Mass. –</strong> The Providence College women's track and field team finished its final day of competition at the ECAC Championships today, March 9 at Boston University. The Friars finished the day with three personal-best performances.
</p>

<p>The highlight of the day came in the 1000 meter final, where senior Jackie McCarthy (New Rochelle, N.Y.) finished in second-place with a personal-best time of 2:51.09. McCarthy's second-place finished earned the team eight points toward their overall score.
</p>

<p>Sophomore Molly Keating (Rehoboth, Mass.) also competed in the 1000 meter final, where she finished sixth overall. Keating placed sixth with a time of 2:53.10, giving the Providence three points toward its team score.

<p>The Friars finished the day with the 3000 meter final, where senior Grace Thek (Melbourne, Australia) and graduate student Samantha Roecker (Charlton, N.Y.) finished with personal-record performances. Thek finished in sixth-place with a time of 9:28.16,
capturing three team points, while Roecker was seventh overall with a time of 9:29.24, earning two points for the Friars.

<p>Providence finished the championships with 16 points, good for 20<sup>th</sup> out of 46 teams.

<p>The Friars wrap-up the 2013-14 indoor season with the NCAA Division I Indoor Track Championships in Albuquerque, N.M. from March 14-15.
