<p><strong>PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – </strong>The Providence College men's track and field team began competition today, April 24, at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. All three competitors on the day posted IC4A qualifying marks.

<p>Juniors Shane Quinn (Waterford, Ireland) and Brian Doyle (Swansea, Mass.) competed in the men's 5000 meter run, where the two both posted IC4A Championship qualifying times. Quinn finished 10<sup>th</sup> overall in a time of 14:11.21, while Doyle finished
18<sup>th</sup> with a time of 14:26.72.</p>

<p>Classmate Liam Hillery (Smithfield, R.I.) competed in the 10,000 meter run, where he placed sixth in a time of 29:51.31. Hillery's personal-best performance was an IC4A Championship qualifying time.</p>

<p>The Friars will continue with competition at the Penn Relays tomorrow (April 25).
