<p><strong>BOSTON, Mass. - </strong>The Providence College women's cross country team finished fifth at the New England Championships on Oct. 11 at Franklin Park, Boston, Mass. Junior Molly Keating (Rehoboth, Mass.) and senior Julie Solimine (Haverhill, Mass.)
both earned All-New England honors for their performances.<br>

<p>Keating was the first across the line for the Friars, finishing 18th in a time of 18:07.85. Only one second behind Keating was Solimine. Solimine finished the 5km course in a time of 18:08.63 for a 20th. Fellow classmate Caile Kohlbrenner (Sparkill, N.Y.)
was the third Friar to finish earning the 44th-spot (18:28.02).<br>

<p>The fourth Friar to cross the line was sophomore Jillian Fanning (Manlius, N.Y.). Fanning grabbed 75th-place in a time of 18:47.45.<br>

<p>Rounding out the Friars top seven were senior Devyn Pryor (Dartmouth, Mass.), junior Kathleen Powell (Wrentham, Mass.) and freshman Caitlin Lawlor (Concord, Mass.). Pryor finished 87th in a time of 18:51.92, while Powell and Lawlor finished 124th (19:08.28)
and 169th (19:49.93), respectively. </p>

<p>“I’m very happy with the performances today,” said head coach Ray Treacy. “For the women, this was much better than last year as we had a few PR’s today. It was a great step up for those ladies especially Molly and Julie earning All-New England honors.“<br>

<p>Next up for the Friars is the Adidas Wisconsin Invitational on Friday, Oct. 17. The meet will feature several of the nation’s top-ranked teams. The women’s 6km race is set to go off at 11:00 a.m. <br>
