<p><strong>NEW ORLEANS, La.</strong> – It was announced on Monday, Oct. 27 that Providence College freshman cross country runner Brianna Ilarda (Perth, Australia) was named USTFCCCA National Female Athlete of the Week.<br>
</p>

<p>Ilarda received the honor for her performance at the CCSU Mini Meet in New Britain, Conn. on Oct. 24. She finished the 3km course in a time of 9:59.14 for the win, seven seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. The win also helped the team finish second.
</p>

</p>
<p>The Friars are back in action on Friday, Oct. 31 at the BIG EAST Championships in Carmel, Ind. The women’s race is set to go off at 11:00 a.m.<br>
