<p><strong>NEW YORK, N.Y.</strong> – The BIG EAST Conference announced the BIG EAST Athletes of the Week for track and field on Jan. 27. Providence junior Lauren Mullins (Binghamton, N.Y.) was named BIG EAST Women’s Track Athlete of the Week. The honor marked
Mullins’ first BIG EAST Athlete of the Week accolade.<br>

<p>Mullins earned the honor after winning the 3,000 meters at the URI Sorlien Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 24 in a personal best time of 9:45.88.</p>

<p>Next up for Mullins and the Friars will be the Terrier Invitational on Friday, Jan. 30 in Boston, Mass.
