</b>The Providence College Track and Field teams competed at the Brown Springtime Invitational on Sunday, April 30.

<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Cambria;">Nick Carleo (Newburyport, Mass.) highlighted the meet for Providence with his performance in the mile. After being paced by teammates Michael O’Leary (Melville, N.Y.) and Marcus Karamanolis
(Wellington, New Zealand) through 1200 meters, Carleo finished hard to win in a time of 4:04.54. The time converts to a 3:46.42 in the 1,500 meters, which ranks 51<sup>st</sup> in the East Region.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Cambria;">The men also had individual winners in both the men’s 3,000 meters and the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase. Austin Scola (Medfield, Mass.) pulled away from the rest of the field with
600 meters remaining to win the 3,000 in a personal best time of 8:34.43. <o:p></o:p></p>
