<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">NEW ORLEANS, LA. </b>– The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the annual NCAA All-Academic honors for the Cross Country season on Feb. 9.
<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams earned All-Academic honors based on the cumulative team grade point average. For the Fall semester, the women’s team earned a GPA of 3.33 while the men’s team had a GPA of
3.11. Providence annually earns All-Academic honors. In 2013, the women’s team earned the NCAA Division 1 Scholar Team of the Year for having the highest team GPA in the country.<o:p></o:p></p>

Graduate student Catarina Rocha (Peabody, Mass.) and senior Millie Paladino (Morgantown, W. Va.) both earned individual All-Academic honors. In order to qualify for the honor, athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and finish in the top-25 (or
10 percent) at regionals or as an All-American in the national meet.<o:p></o:p></p>
