[Pcalumnixctrack] Greany finish 6th in steeple @ NCAA; earns All-American and lowers American Junior record......

This past Saturday, Freshman Shelby Greany competed at the NCAA Championships in Eugene Oregon in the finals of the women’s Steeples. Shelby ran an aggressive race and finished 6th overall and earned All-American status. Her time of 10:00.88 lowered her existing American Junior Record by 4 seconds of which she had set in the preliminaries two days earlier.

Shelby’s All-American honor becomes the 136th awarded to a Providence College athlete under the direction of Coach Ray Treacy.

Up next will be the USATF Junior Championships at Drake University on June 23-27. Samantha Roecker will be racing the 3,000m on Thursday June 24th and Shelby Greany will be racing the steeple on Friday June 25th.
