Providence’s Brianna Ilarda Named
USTFCCCA National Athlete Of The Week


Brianna Ilarda won the CCSU Mini Meet on Oct. 24.


NEW ORLEANS, La. – It was announced on Monday, Oct. 27 that Providence College freshman cross country runner Brianna Ilarda (Perth, Australia) was named USTFCCCA National Female Athlete of the Week.


Ilarda received the honor for her performance at the CCSU Mini Meet in New Britain, Conn. on Oct. 24. She finished the 3km course in a time of 9:59.14 for the win, seven seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. The win also helped the team finish second.


The Friars are back in action on Friday, Oct. 31 at the BIG EAST Championships in Carmel, Ind. The women’s race is set to go off at 11:00 a.m.
