Providence’s Katie Lembo Named Corvias ECAC Women’s Cross Country Rookie Of The Week


Katie Lembo finished second in her first collegiate race as a Friar.


Providence, R.I. – It was announced on Wednesday, Sept. 3 that freshman Katie Lembo (Penfield, N.Y.) was named Corvias ECAC Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week.


Lembo earned the honor after her second place finish overall, first on the team, at the University of New Hampshire Dual Meet on Saturday, Aug. 30. She finished the 5km course in a time of 17:39.90 and helped the team to tie the meet with UNH.


The Lady Friars will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 13 at Stony Brook University.
