The women remained ranked as the No. 1 contender in the Northeast Region, while the men hold their third-place spot.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The U.S. Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its regional rankings today (Sept. 14). The Providence College women held their No. 1 ranking from the Aug. 31 poll, while the men remain ranked at No. 3.

After the first two races of the season, the men and women are undefeated. Each team won both the UNH Tri-Meet (Sept. 5) and Bryant’s Nassaney Invitational (Sept. 12). The men swept the top-5 spots at UNH and finished with five runners in the top-13 at Bryant. The women captured five of the top-6 spots at UNH and then swept the top-5 at the Nassaney Invitational.

The women will return to action on Sept. 25 when they travel to Boston, Mass. for the Coast-to-Coast Battle In Beantown. Next up for the men will be the Princeton Invitational in Princeton, N.J. on Oct. 3.
