Providence Women’s Cross Country Ranked Ninth In Final National Poll Of The Season
The Friars moved up a spot after winning the Northeast Regional Title on Nov. 11.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The USTFCCCA released the final national rankings of the cross country season on Monday, Nov. 13. This final poll saw the Friars ranked ninth in the nation. This move came on the heels of the Friars’ third consecutive Northeast Regional title. Providence won the Northeast region with 84 points and had four athletes earn All-Northeast region honors.
The top ten teams heading into the NCAA Cross Country Championships, are Colorado (1), New Mexico (2), San Francisco (3), Stanford (4), NC State (5), Arkansas (6) and Oregon (6), Michigan (8), Providence (9) and Penn State (10).
Providence will race at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 18. The race will take place at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville, K.Y.
