Providence Alumnus Julian Oakley ’16 Qualifies For 3,000m Final Of IAAF World Indoor Championships.

Oakley earned an auto qualifiers spot by finishing fourth in his preliminary heat.



BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND – Former Friar Julian Oakley raced in the preliminary heats of the 3,000 meters of the IAAF World Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, England on Friday, March 2. Oakley qualified for the 3,000-meter final after finishing fourth in the second preliminary heat with a time of 7:55.92.



The final of the 3,000 meters will take place at 10:35 a.m. ET on Sunday, March 4.
