Paladino Finishes Sixth Overall In The Mile At NCAA Championships

The junior earns First Team All-American honors for her sixth place finish.

COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – Providence track and field junior Millie Paladino (Morgantown, W. Va.) raced in the final of the women’s mile at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday, March 10. The junior finished sixth overall with a time of 4:34.93 to earn First Team All-American honors.

Paladino ran a tactically smart race, positioning herself in the middle of the field from the very start. The entire field remained tightly bunched together until the final 400 meters. Paladino used a strong close over the final few laps to claim sixth overall. Sixth is the highest Paladino has ever finished at an NCAA meet.
