“At this stage we are looking forward to the last races of the season,” Head Coach Ray Treacy shared. “We are where we need to be at this point in time and are looking forward to positive results and trying to get an automatic qualification for Nationals.”

Last season, the Friars earned a first place finish at the Northeast Regional Championships with 46 points at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison, Conn. It marked the Friars fifth win in the last ten years at the Northeast Regional Championships.

This season, the Friars are led by Sisson, Collins and Nagel. Sisson ran a course-best time of 19:49 at the BIG EAST Championships to earn the individual title, as the first Friar to do so since 2005 (Fiona Crombie ‘05). Sisson’s first-place finish led the Friars to their first BIG EAST Championship since 2006.

Sisson’s first place finish at the BIG EAST Championships was her third first-place finish of the season and fourth top-finish for the Friars this season. Collins and Nagel join Sisson as the top-three finishers for Providence in each race the trio has competed in.
