Providence College’s Julian Oakley Named Corvias ECAC Men’s Cross Country Athlete Of The Week


Julian Oakley finished second at the New England Championships.


PROVIDENCE, R.I. – It was announced on Wednesday, Oct. 15 that junior Julian Oakley (Tauranga, New Zealand) was named co-winner of the Corvias ECAC Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week.


Oakley earned the honor after finishing second at the 2014 New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass., on Saturday, Oct. 11. Oakley finished the 8km course in a time of 24:34.48 and helped the Friars tie the meet with Brown.



The Friars will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 18 for the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational in Madison, Wis.
