Providence’s Emily Sisson Finishes Third In NCAA Indoor 3,000 Meter Championship Race
Sisson finished the 3,000 meters in a time of 9:01.16 for third place.


Fayetteville, Ark. – Providence College graduate-student Emily Sisson (Chesterfield, Mo.) finished third in the NCAA Indoor 3,000 meter championship race at the Randal Tyson Center in Fayetteville, Ark. tonight (Saturday, March 14).

After winning her first NCAA title last night (Friday, March 13) in the 5,000 meters, Sisson came back to record a time of 9:01.16 for third-place.

With a combination of Sisson’s first-place finish in the 5,000 meters and third-place finish in the 3,000 meters, Providence finished in 11th in the team scoring at the championship (16 points).
