Providence Men’s And Women’s Cross Country To Compete At New England Championships
The men’s race will begin at 12:30 p.m., while the women will start at 11:45 a.m.


Providence, R.I. – The Providence College men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. at the New England Championships this Saturday, on Oct. 10. Both of the ‘B’ Teams will race for the Friars to decide the final three spots on the 10-person roster for the BIG EAST Championships which will be run on Oct. 31.

On the men’s side, seniors Brendan Sullivan (Foxboro, Mass.) and Joseph Vercollone (Pembroke, Mass.), junior Jake Feinstein (Sandy Hook, Conn.), sophomores Andrew Doherty (Taunton, Mass.) and Brendan Ungemach (Wayne, N.J.) and freshmen Michael O’Leary (Melville, N.Y.) and Austin Scola (Medfield, Mass.) will all compete in the men’s varsity 8km race at 12:30 p.m.

For the women, juniors Keelin Hollowood (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and Sarah Hammond (Essex Conn.), sophomores Mackenzie Barry (Mendham, N.J.) and Kaitlyn LiPuma (Brick, N.J.), and freshmen Dara Cuffe (Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y.), Amanda Ribeiro (Melville, N.Y.) and Adrianna Russell (Marstons Mill, Mass.) will compete in the women’s 5km varsity race at 11:45 a.m.

The week after the New England Championships, the men’s and women’s cross country ‘A’ teams will compete at one of the largest cross country meets in the country, the Adidas Wisconsin Invitational, in Madison, Wis. on Oct. 16.
