Providence’s Thomas O’Neill Named BIG EAST Athlete Of The Week
Thomas O’Neill won the UNH Tri-Meet for the second-straight year to receive the honor.

Providence, R.I. –  It was announced on Wednesday, Sept. 9 that sophomore Thomas O’Neill (Middletown, N.J.) was named BIG EAST Athlete of the Week.

O’Neill earned the honor after winning the UNH Tri-Meet for the second-straight year on Sept. 5. O’Neill led the Friars to a top-5 sweep, finishing the 5km course in a time of 15:29.07 and winning by 12 seconds.

The Friars will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Bryant for the Nassaney Invitational.
