Providence Men’s Cross Country Ranked 21st in Nation, Second in Region.
The Friars finished third in the BIG EAST last season.

BATON ROUGE, La. – The U.S. Track Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the first national rankings today (Aug. 30). The Providence College men's cross country team is ranked 21st in the poll. The Friars are also ranked second in the Northeast region. Providence was only ranked behind Syracuse University, last year’s NCAA Champions, in the Northeast.

Last season, the Friars finished third at the BIG EAST Championships before finishing in sixth place at the Northeast Regional meet, just missing out on a NCAA Championships berth.

The Friars begin their 2016 campaign with a Tri-Meet against UNH and Holy Cross, which will be hosted by the University of New Hampshire, on Sept. 3 at 10:45 A.M.
