Millie Paladino Named BIG EAST Athlete of the Week
Paladino ran the second fastest time in Providence history at the BU Valentine Invitational.

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The BIG EAST announced its weekly Indoor Track and Field honors on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Providence College senior Millie Paladino (Morgantown, W. Va.) was named the BIG EAST Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Boston University Valentine Invitational on Feb. 9.  Paladino ran a time of 4:31.98 in the mile at the Valentine Invitational. Her time is the second fastest in Providence history, behind Kim Smith’s 4:30.61 from 2004. Smith, a three-time Olympian, also finished her career with multiple NCAA Championships. Paladino’s time ranks first in the BIG EAST and fourth in the NCAA this season.
